these are segments from “Reading Rainbow”, a PBS show. the 2002-2003 emmy award was for single camera editing. working 2 jobs at the time, it was typically cut during the second half of a long day. director, ed wiseman, called me the “box cutter”. he had seen my reel and asked me to tell a story using this style of editing. they were looking to change the “look” of the show and after being nominated several times, the emmy was finally awarded. just for fun go to: http://www.theonion.com/content/opinion/my_living_nightmare_of ...and finally, your work better be fun...
